Modeling, equilibrium and kinetics of CO2 adsorption in LTA zeolite obtained from clay

چکیده

This paper discussed the synthesis of LTA zeolite from Pinheiro clay (PIN) aiming for adsorption CO2. To obtain LTA-PIN zeolite, PIN was submitted to acid treatment, followed by calcination and hydrothermal treatment. These treatments promoted reorganization crystalline structure PIN, leading with 95.79% purity confirmed XRD, SEM, XRF, FTIR results. The performance similar one standard zeolite. CO2 zeolites could be properly described pseudo-second-order kinetic Freundlich isotherm models, suggesting that physisorption main mechanism responsible deposition at surface zeolites. According regeneration results, can reused five times without significant loss capacity, contrary 12% reduction in capacity presented LTA-standard
